Founder story

My story: from the road to founding RenTrip.

Shailza Singh brings together two worlds — building RenTrip and documenting travel as it is actually experienced: exciting, imperfect, practical and deeply personal.

The central idea

Make independent travel easier to imagine — and easier to do.

As the founder of RenTrip, Shailza works at the intersection of mobility, trust and road travel. Through Travel Tips by Shailza, she turns that same experience into useful stories and approachable guidance for travellers.

The personal brand is not separate from the business. It is the human voice behind it — informed by real journeys, real customer needs and an enduring curiosity about India’s roads.

How the brand comes together

One identity. Three connected roles.

  • Founder of RenTrip

Building a trusted mobility marketplace that supports self-drive travel and broader access to vehicles.

  • Travel creator

Sharing road experiences, practical tips and first-hand perspectives through Travel Tips by Shailza.

  • Founder-led brand voice

Bringing a recognisable, credible and human face to RenTrip through consistent storytelling.

Editorial principles

The content should always feel like Shailza.

Useful

Every story should leave the audience with something practical, clear or confidence-building.

Human

Natural moments, candid observations and genuine founder perspective matter more than perfection.

Optimistic

The tone is adventurous and positive without hiding the planning and judgment that good travel requires.

The company

What RenTrip is building.

RenTrip is a mobility marketplace for self-drive travel in India. It exists because the hardest part of an independent trip is often not the destination — it is getting hold of a vehicle you trust, on terms you understand, without a week of phone calls.

Self-drive rental in India is still fragmented. Pricing is hard to compare, vehicle quality varies from one operator to the next, and plenty of vehicles sit idle between bookings. RenTrip works on both sides of that gap — access and clarity for travellers, better utilisation for owners.

The channel grows out of the same problem. People commit to a trip more readily when someone has already driven the route and will say plainly what it was like. In that sense the travel videos are field notes from the market RenTrip serves — which is why the founder story and the creator work are one project, not two.
